Forever Living review

With being ill recently I've been finding it hard to fit blogging in. But I'm back!

Soo, the lovely Elsa got in touch with me to see if I'd sample and review some of Forever Living products and I thought, why not? they're Aloe Vera based and oh my are they good.

She sent me samples in a cute little bag, and the rest was history...

Aloe Propolis Creme
I used this creme as a  general moisturiser. My face was feeling a bit tired and dry so i started there. When applying the creme, it was a nice consistency and most importantly for my face, not greasy. I hate that when you apply a moisturiser and your left looking like you dipped your face in a chipper.
I also applied a little on my neck. Overall it was a pretty decent product and it had a wonderful aroma too. I could especially smell Chamomile.
Unlike most cremes I've used, this one was a long lasting moisturiser. Most don't leave your face feeling fresh for long. Definitely recommend!

Aloe Heat Lotion
I really wanted to try this but as my boyfriend was having trouble with his knee, he was the guinea pig haha. He was amazed by it, no joke. He doesn't generally like many cremes because he says none of them work, except this. It took his pain away for a while, longer than most over the counter heat cremes you can get. And he's tried many. thumbs up from Mr Clay.

Aloe Vera Gelly
Now for my favourite product. For ages I've been searching for a nice, light makeup base but I've tried so many and been nothing but disappointed. When I tried this I was a  bit sceptical but I was wrong to do so. It's so nice! not so fragrant which i wanted, very light in consistency and made my foundation stay in place, because usually throughout the day, i go patchy aha. I will be definitely ordering some of this when payday comes. Highly recommend this bad boy.

Aloe Moisturising Lotion
I used this on my stretch marks as recommended. It was pleasantly fragrant but I didn't really notice much. Maybe with a continued application you would, but it was a nice moisturizer.

Aloe Vera Tooth Gel
With circumstances atm I was unable to use the gel.

With over 75 known active ingredients Aloe is beyond beneficial. My skin hasn't felt better and that's the truth. I'm 100% honest when I'm reviewing because there's no point in lying...

Have you tried and Aloe Vera Products?

Body confidence and crop tops!

Where to begin...

For a looong time I've envied other girls for wearing crop tops and having this image in my head that if you're not a certain size then you couldn't possibly wear crop tops, could you?

Well screw that! I'm sick of loathing my body just because I don't have a flat tummy and that I certainly do have junk in my trunk. I need to care for me and focus on the good rather than the bad all the time. Now this isn't a post promoting or degrading "plus size" or any other body image, this is just about my body confidence.

In reality, the saying is most definitely true. Life is too short. I don't know why I've only just come to this realization but I'm running with it. Am I going to buy the really cute crop top with my not so flat tummy? yes, yes I am.

Not only that, but I'm gaining confidence to dress for my size. For years and years I've thought, hmm, I'm not thin so that obviously means I have to wear baggy clothes because then nobody will see my wobbly bits. How wrong I was. When my sisters asked me to go shopping I thought to myself, perfect opportunity to buy all the crop tops ever made. But here's my favorite.

I still don't think I'm 100% comfortable looking at this picture, but I'm getting there.

I saw this crop top the other day but didn't give it a second look because of my previous mentality. I'm so glad I've changed my outlook because this crop top is so cute. I've teamed it with some high waisted jeans and my creeper babies.

This is currently my favorite outfit.

I'm currently trying to wear these creepers with every outfit because I'm obsessed.

Why not?

Lush review: Spacegirl and Unicorn

Looking for ways to de-stress but don't want to break the bank? Then a trip to Lush is a definite must. There is a lot of hype with Lush and there's every right to be. They honestly make the most amazing bath products at a range of affordable prices which make a soak in the tub that bit more tranquil.

Lately I have been run off my feet, not having a moment to myself really so I thought I'd make a trip  to Lush and see if there was anything I fancied so I could have some me time.

Yesterday I was having a terrible day, busy beyond imaginable and everything wasn't going great. So I thought do you know what? No. Can't do this no more life. It's time to get my Lush on. And boy did I.

Spacegirl is a creamy and dreamy experience not for the faint hearted. Not really but you should all try it! It relaxed me so much and left my skin super soft which is always nice. When I popped it into my bath I didn't expect the reaction I got. Instead of me trying to explain (I'll probably mess it up) Here's the result...
(With added Bokeh hearts effect because. Just because)

Pink and purple!
Looks more red but it was a really cute shade of pink. I literally soaked in the tub loving life with this bath bomb. Not going to lie.
It was subtly shimmery and sooo creamy. I'd definitely recommend it.

I loved this bubble bar. I ran it under the running water and the bubbles started to invade my bath. It was quite lovely! It went a nice shade of pink and there were loads of bubbles.

I think I got three baths out of it because I broke it up because it's not an awkward shape where I have no choice but to use the whole lot, which was a plus.

I think in comparison, yes I understand that one is a bubble bar,one is not. But overall bath indulgence I'd go for Spacegirl every time. All day every day.

I must say, over the years I have tried numerous different bath bombs and the majority of the time been disappointed because of things like how it made my skin feel or even if it irritated me, But I have nothing but good things to say about LUSH. From them producing high quality products for a great price to them being against animal testing. And it's always extra special when somethings handmade.

Next on the agenda is a shampoo bar! Have you tried one?

Favourite February OOTD

Farewell February.

So this outfit was from the beginning of February but I still love it now.
I really love over sized clothing I think you can style it in so many ways and they all end up great.

This Jumper was from Newlook in the mens section! I think this whole "you can't wear that, it's for men" is ridiculous. Well nope, clothing shouldn't be subjective to a particular gender, If I like it, I'll wear it. And this jumper was a great steal. Not that I stole it! I got it for like £8 I think on sale. I think it's like a size large and a good length so I wore it as a dress. It's super comfy and warm so perfect for these cold days. Damn you wintery weather!

I paired my jumper with these beauties which I refuse to take off. They're Doc Martens with a faint floral print and they are everything. I can wear them with almost anything and they just compliment any look. And yes, I'm wearing floral on floral because why the hell not?

Here is a photo of a makeup look I did with my new palettes I used which are in my previous beauty post . I am obsessed with how pigmented the eye shadows are and how easily they can be applied. With being half Chinese, my eyes are a lot smaller so I accentuate them with eyeliner. I'm a strong eyeliner advocate!

What are your favourite beauty products or outfits from February?

Have a great day guys.

Witchcraft Couture Book Review

So I got sent this book to review, because hey who doesn't like reading?

Its called Witchcraft Couture by Katerina West.

Its basically about Oscar Pellegrini and his struggles with life. This varies from personal relationships to working in fashion. My personal opinion is it's a weirdly, captivating book. I honestly couldn't put it down it just had me so engaged with the characters and the plot and left me questioning everything.

Let me start off saying that the author is a crazy good writer in that she had it layed out in a diary like fashion which really helped you follow the ins and outs of Oscars mind. I love books that really help you be so engrossed in the story that it's almost a reality in your mind. Katerina does this by describing everything in a wonderful way. Let me give you a line which really stuck with me,
"Because rather than an outfit, it seemed like a prayer"
I don't know why but this just stuck out to me, I find it so powerful and moving.

I would say, even if you think hmm maybe this book isn't for me, definitely give it a try because you won't regret it.

This book was sent to me for free with no compensation in return for an honest review, and that's all I can give :)

Beauty haul!

I am obsessed with these cheap makeup bargains I recently bought/received. So I thought I'd share them with you lovelies.

This little beauty was in a set I received for Christmas. It includes bronzer, blusher and highlighter!
I use this as my starter contour routine. Recently I've been wanting to try it out so I thought using this which I already have to do some basic contouring was perfect to learn. I use the bronzer on the bottoms of my cheekbones, around the outside of my head and the outside of my nose to define. It's really a great product because it's not too dark for my pale skin but it's not colourless either were nothing shows up.

I don't know if this is new or what, but when it was in Superdrug at a slashed price of £2 I thought it'd be rude not to! This is such a lovely product to use. I can't tell you how many times I've bought eye shadows and they're like a tub of glitter on my eyelids. I hate that. But this pallet is different from the crowd, its pigment is crazy good with just the right amount of shimmer. I've used it to create subtle but sassy smokey eyes and now this is my go to product.

Allow me to introduce, Lilac Belle.
OMG this lipstick. I'm quite an idiot when it comes to buying lipstick, I look at the colour and go Oooo I will buy, and I do and end up disappointed because it's too glossy. I always forget I prefer matte lipsticks. I don't know why I do this but hey aha. The pigment on this lipstick is truly lovable, it brightens up your face and adds to any look you're trying to achieve. Finally, brace yourselves, it only costs £1. I couldn't believe it either.

Here I used all above products to achieve this look.

I hope this was vaguely interesting or helpful. Drop me a comment if you've used any of these products!

Love yas.

Wednesday Wishlist

So it's Wednesday right? So I thought I'd share with you guys a wishlist of body jewelry I need in my life. Right now!

You might not know but I looooove stretched ears. Currently I'm at 20mm which suits me right now, but there's always room to go bigger! We shall see...

At the moment I'm obsessed with a website called They have so many products that should be in my life right now, but for now I'll just add them to the wish list!

Glass Glitter Flesh Plug - Turquoise
Glass Krakatoa Flesh Plug - Clear CloudGlass Glitter Flesh Plug - Purple

Now these may seem a little pricey but the way I see it is you pay for the quality, I have heard nothing but good things about these plugs so they're definitely a must have! These range from £7.50 to £14.95.

Wooden Flesh Tunnel - Stadium Iron WoodSynergy Wood Flesh Tunnel - Ebony Wood and Bone
Triangular Wooden Flesh Plug - Iron Wood

I really love wood plugs, I find them comfortable and they agree with my ears! Some materials refuse to go in my ears, they must be temperamental, so wood is a definite yes for fussy ears! These range from £6.00 to £8.00.

I need to buy all of these plugs, now let me just see how much is on my money tree.....
